We study how physiology and behavior shape insect adaptation, interactions, and success in agroecosystems

We use insect bioassays and field studies with biochemical analyses, molecular tools, and microbiome sequencing to examine questions such as:

​

  • The contribution of microbes to insect phenotypes and behavior in agroecosystems

  • The role of thermal tolerance and climate in pest invasion and competitive interactions

  • How environmental conditions shape the spatiotemporal dynamics of pest populations
